Robert Eyre Johnson, 77, of Tucson, passed away July 19, 2017. He was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Lovell, Wyo., to John and Cora Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife, Valerie; his five children, Jenny, Bradley, Martin, Todd and Julie; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Myrna Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
An Arizona resident for 37 years, Robert was a titan of the copper mining industry, active in his church, traveled the world and was a true Renaissance man. His love and commitment to his family will be felt for generations.
A visitation was held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 1 p.m., with service following at 2 p.m., at the Rincon Stake Center, 1655 S. Melpomene Way. Burial followed at Binghampton Cemetery, 4001 N. Alvernon, Tucson.
