State and local police are investigating allegations of “possible inappropriate videotaping of minors” at Sacred Heart University, according to a statement from the university on Wednesday.
The girls thought to be the subjects of the alleged video were attending a volleyball camp. Their ages were not immediately available. The camp, held at Sacred Heart University, is run by U.S. Sports Camps, the university said.
“Steps have already been taken to remove the individual who was allegedly involved, pending further investigation,” university officials said in the statement.
A spokeswoman for the camp said “the person in question is a Sacred Heart University employee.” Police did not confirm or deny this.
Harris said city police are investigating because the incident occurred on the side of campus located in Bridgeport. Most of the university campus is in Fairfield.
Sacred Heart has hosted similar camps for more than 20 years, the university statement said.
