CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Isiah Gilliam hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning, as the Charleston RiverDogs beat the Columbia Fireflies 4-3 on Wednesday.
Carlos Vidal scored the game-winning run after he led off the inning with a single and advanced to third on a single by Diego Castillo.
In the bottom of the fourth, Charleston grabbed the lead on RBI doubles by Vidal and Steven Sensley. Columbia answered in the next half-inning when Vinny Siena hit a two-run single and Arnaldo Berrios scored on a sacrifice.
Reliever Luis Cedeno (5-0) picked up the win after he struck out two and walked one over one scoreless inning. Keaton Aldridge (0-1) didn’t record an out and allowed one run in the South Atlantic League game.
Vidal doubled twice and singled twice, scoring two runs in the win.
Ian Strom tripled and singled for the Fireflies.
