A 31-year-old Gadsden man reported his wife tried to run over him about noon July 15, after pulling a gun on him. The victim has a family protection order against the 26-year-old woman, but he relented after she called begging to see their kids. He met with her so she could see the children, he told police, but she got upset and started yelling. He told her he didn’t even have to let her see the kids, and she went to her vehicle and pulled out a pistol, he said, and stuck it to his head. He attempted to get away and as he was standing by his vehicle she tried to strike him with her vehicle. According to the police report, detectives confirmed his account with video evidence from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.



Two 5-by-8-foot trailers were reported stolen from a rental company in the 500 block of West Meighan Boulevard after they were rented, one on June 21 and the other on July 21, and not returned.

Two Brahmin purses were reported stolen between 6 a.m. May 4 and 6 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Chandler Street.

Someone took a DVD player, an Xfinity cable box and a TV between 4:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday from residence in the 1200 block of Nancy Avenue.

An iron and tile patio table and six chairs were reported stolen between 8 a.m. July 22 and 9 a.m. Monday from the 200 block of South Fifth Street.

A wallet and its contents were stolen from a residence in the 900 block of Martin Avenue between 7 a.m. July 26 and 11 a.m. July 27.

Someone stole a lawn mower between noon July 17 and 11:45 a.m. Monday from a garage in the 3300 block of Sudie Avenue.
