Friends, relatives and local restaurants will come together Saturday to raise money for a Long Beach Realtor, who last month was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor.
Chris Frapwell and his wife Kristine are also expecting their first child next month, friends said in a statement. A graduate of Millikan High and Cal State Long Beach, he works at Sonnocco Real Estate Group.
On July 9, after three days of a migraine, Chris Frapwell went to the emergency room, where doctors found a type of tumor that is mostly found in children. He underwent surgery, but physicians were not able to remove it all, and he will undergo radiation and chemotherapy, according to a statement from friends.
Nine restaurants will offer their signature dishes from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at an event at his real estate group, 3626 Long Beach Blvd. Participating businesses include Roe, Panxa, Mahe, Tantalum, Nick’s Deli, Super Mex, Gaslamp, Naple’s Rib Company and Bucca de Beppo. Beverages are being donated by Pacific Wine and Spirits, Justin and Landmark Wines, Riley’s Bootleggers Brewery, Fiji Water and Poor Richards.
