YUCCA VALLEY — The Joshua Springs Christian School cheerleading team is rebuilding and looking at the possibility of competitions this year, head coach Keersten Milson said.
There are four new members to the team, which has six in total.
The team captains this year are Katie Dimoff and Shaina Landers.
The girls are hard at work practicing every day, sometimes twice a day, getting prepared for the upcoming football and basketball seasons.
“There are 65 cheers for just football alone that the girls have to learn,” Milson said.
The squad members have been doing at least 30 minutes of conditioning each practice and then working on their dances as well as their stunts.
