Police: Norwich man shared child porn over internet – News – The Bulletin – Connecticut News

NORWICH — State police have charged a city man with possession of child porn and said he used his home’s Internet account to share the illegal files online.

Thomas S. Walsh, 32, of 28 Pine St., Norwich, faces one count of first-degree illegal possession of child pornography, a felony.

Members of the state police Computer Crimes Unit served a warrant for Walsh on Thursday. The arrest stems from an investigation police started in February, after police learned files of suspected child porn were allegedly being shared from the Internet account assigned to Walsh’s home.

In April, police searched Walsh’s home and seized a computer and computer-related equipment, which police examined.

Walsh was held on a $100,000 bond and was scheduled to appear Thursday in Norwich Superior Court.
