Silverados country music brings out big crowd – California News

The Silverados, a fan favorite country rock cover band, returned to the summer concerts in the park series. The band drew quite a crowd to Yucca Valley Community Center park July 29.

The baseball field was packed with fans and the soccer field above was well attended by local families and their dogs.

The band consists of Michael Heil, acoustic guitar and vocals; Doug Hanks, electric guitar and vocals; Julie Wuertz, vocals; Ray Ochoa, drums and vocals; Steve Sanchez, electric guitar; and Scott Van Tine, bass guitar.

The Silverados started in 1992 as part of a worship team at a small church in Alta Loma. Now, the band plays at private corporate events, parties and many city concerts in the park, along with special city festivals.
