Authorities have identified a Little Rock man fatally shot during a home invasion robbery early Sunday.
Police said Danny Lewis, 50, died after being shot multiple times at 2115 Howard St. His brother, 59-year-old Kenneth Lewis, was also shot, and a 12-year-old relative in the home was injured when one of the intruders struck him with a gun, police said.
No arrests have been made.
Two people were shot and a 12-year-old boy was struck with a gun during an apparent home invasion robbery early Sunday at a house in Little Rock, authorities said.
It happened about 4:45 a.m. at 2115 Howard St., which is north of the Arkansas State Fairgrounds.
One of the gunshot victims, described as a man in his 50s, died at the scene, authorities said. The second, also a man in his 50s, was taken to a local hospital, where he was said to be in stable condition later Sunday.
A 12-year-old boy who was in the home was also taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained when one of two intruders struck him with a gun, Little Rock Police Department spokesman officer Steve Moore said. Those injuries were said not to be life-threatening.
A woman who was also in the home was unhurt.
The intruders, who Moore said wore masks, reportedly ransacked part of the residence. No arrests have been made.
“From everything they did, it looks like a robbery,” Moore said, noting the investigation was early.
The killing was the 39th of the year in Little Rock.
