ORANGE A SigAlert that lasted most of Sunday was lifted following an early morning collision that shut down Santiago Canyon Road and left two people injured, officials said.
The collision was reported by witnesses at 8:22 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6 on Santiago Canyon Road near North Meads Avenue, said Lt. Ray Winick. The two vehicles were driving east when the collision occurred.
Orange County Fire Authority and Orange Fire both responded to the crash. Two people were taken to local hospitals, Winick said.
A male driver is in critical condition and a female driver is less seriously injured. Names have not been released, said Lt. Mike Monjaraz.
The crash is still under investigation.
