Man with knife arrested in Norwalk after report of stabbing – California News

NORWALK >> A man suspected of stabbing at least one person was arrested Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of the Rite-Aid at Norwalk Boulevard and Imperial Highway.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Norwalk Station received a call at 3 p.m. reporting someone wounded under the 5 Freeway at Imperial, Sgt. Rene Garcia said. Upon investigation, deputies found a man with a knife in the Rite-Aid parking lot.

Garcia said he did not know the extent of the victim’s injuries.

By 3:30 p.m., deputies had arrested the man without incident, Garcia said.

Garcia said deputies do not believe this incident is related to an earlier stabbing at El Camino High School in unincorporated South Whittier.

A man stabbed three people after a brawl erupted at an adult soccer league match at the high school. Norwalk Station deputies have yet to find him.
