Stamford man robbed in West Side home invasion – Connecticut News

STAMFORD — Three men wielding a screwdriver are wanted for following a West Side resident into his home and robbing him of a small amount of cash.

Sgt. Rhett Connelly said the man was walking to his Leon Place home about 3:30 a.m. Saturday when he saw what he thought were some friends standing outside.

He realized he did not know them and went inside the home, but the men followed and threatened him with a screwdriver, Connelly said.

“They tried to grab him and a struggle ensues on the first floor,” Connelly said.

The man broke free and sprinted to the third floor of the multifamily home, Connelly said.

“But all three suspects chase him and they catch up to him and demand he give up all his money,” Connelly said.

The man called for his roommate to help and the three suspects fled the home, Connelly said.

Connelly said the man gave them about $20 in cash.
