Massachusetts Maritime Academy

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass >> The following local residents have graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy June 27. Cadet 1st Class Tyler David Rand of East Haddam graduated with a degree in marine transportation. Cadet 1st Class Corey James Lemon of Higganum graduated with a degree in marine engineering.

Clark University

WORCESTER, Massachusetts >> The following local students have been named to first honors on the Clark University dean’s list. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2017 semester. To be eligible, students must have a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3 (all A+s).

They are: Jessica Hoops of East Hampton, Robin C. Baldwin of Killingworth, Hannah D. Breton of Middletown, William Frederick Hawkins of Middletown were all on the list.

WESTON, Massachusetts >> Regis University announce that Ashley Jones of Deep River, class of 2019, made the dean’s list for academic achievement for the 2017 spring semester. To be eligible for the list as a senior, junior or sophomore, a student must have a semester grade-point average of at least 3.50. For first-year students, a semester GPA of at least 3.25 must be attained.
