At Home in Greenwich meet-and-greet


At Home in Greenwich will hold a meet-and-greet at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Hall, Second Congregational Church, 139 E. Putnam Ave. Talk with executive director Lise Jameson and current members to about membership benefits and volunteer opportunities. Materials and refreshments available. RSVP to 203-422-2342.

Gemology at RMA meeting


Bradford and Brian Walker will speak on the “The World of Gemology: History and Value of Precious Stones,’ at the regular Wednesday meeting of the Greenwich Retired Men’s Association at the First Presbyterian Church, Lafayette Place, Greenwich. Social hour begins at 10:40 a.m., followed by program at 11 a.m. Free and open to the public.

Library August Children’s Programs


Throughout August, Greenwich Library, 101 West Putnam Ave., will host children’s programs. Scheduled are: Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m., ArchForKids “Fun with Facades” workshop, for kids ages 6 and older at the library. Aug. 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., “Make it and Take it LEGO,” in the children’s room of the library. Aug. 22, 10:30 a.m., Petite Concert, a musical performance for newborns and pre-schoolers. Aug. 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Shell Crafts, a sea-shell decorating workshop. No registration required.
