The drafted men
Official list will be announced by board tonight
The names of the men who are drafted in District No. 1, which includes Assembly District Twelve, in which Healdsburg is located, will be announced tonight. W.V. Frost, a member of this committee, stated last night that he had hoped to have the lists completed for publication in today’s Tribune, but did not succeed. Two hundred and twenty-four names will be announced. From this list it is hoped to secure 112 men for service. If this number is obtained, no further names will be selected. If less than 112 are obtained, after making exemptions for every cause allowed, another list will be named, until the required number of men is secured. The examinations of the men will begin next Tuesday, five days after the list is announced. Mr. Frost will bring the list of names of drafted men when he returns from Santa Rosa tonight.
