Zumba class

The West Covina Library, 1601 West Covina Parkway, is hosting Zumba class at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

Zumba is a dance fitness class performed to energetic music. The choreography includes dance and aerobic movements.

Beatles tribute band to perform

The West Covina Summer Concert series continues with a performance by Sgt. Pepper, a Beatles tribute band, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the West Covina Civic Center, 1444 W. Garvey Ave. S.

This is a free event sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis. Parking is available in the Civic Center lot. Food and merchandise will be available for sale.

Historical society event

The Historical Society of West Covina invites the public to “Summer Fest 2017” on Saturday at the South Hills Country Club 2655 S. Citrus St.

Cost of the evening is $40 prepaid.

Learn about the community and visit with friends. Featured is the Hurst Ranch Family, Past and Present as the recipient of the 2017 Historical Preservation Award winner. Also to be presented is the 2017 Citizen of the Year award. Candidates for Citizen of the Year are Luanne Arredondo, Sherrie Berillon and Vicky Schilega.
