BELMONT — Police on Tuesday identified a 27-year-old East Bay man as a suspect in a fatal shooting over the weekend.
Jovhon Alexander Stewart should be considered “armed and dangerous,” Belmont police said in a news release. A no-bail warrant has been issued for his arrest and anyone who sees him should call 911.
Police also released a photo of Stewart, but noted that he is now said to be wearing his hair in short dreadlocks.
Police did not specify what city Stewart was from in the East Bay.
On Saturday, officers responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment building on the 500 block of Ralston Avenue. They found a man — identified as 24-year-old DeJohn Jones — suffering from a gunshot wound inside one of the units. He died at the scene.
Anyone with information about Stewart’s whereabouts can contact the Belmont police at 650-290-6224 or email@example.com.
