There were 56 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Wednesday. At that time, there were 1,354 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,665. When the jail is full, some inmates may be released early.
Vehicle theft arrest: Stockton police officers arrested 27-year-old Jose Oseguera on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle following a brief car chase about 12:41 a.m. Wednesday near Caribook Way and Calandria Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation but the driver failed to stop. A pursuit was started but had to be stopped for safety concerns. Oseguera was apprehended after ditching the vehicle, which has been returned to the owner.
Robbery: Two men and a woman robbed a man walking about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of West Adams Street. After taking the man’s possession, the robbers left in a silver sedan with tinted windows. The female is described as Latina, 23, and 5-foot-6 and 140 pounds. She was wearing a purple T-shirt and black pants. The second robber was said to be a 27-year-old Latino male about 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds. He had a black pony tail and tattoos on his wrist and was wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. The third robber was described as a 24-year-old Latino male, 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. He also had a black pony tail and tattoos on his wrist but was wearing all black clothing.
