Thank you for printing my letter last week expressing my concerns with the El Granada Boulevard water tank refurbishing project.
The day after submitting the letter, the work site was bustling with activity. The gravel strewn across the street was swept and piled in a neat and orderly fashion. Workers turned to work on painting the exterior of the tank, which was first sanded to take off the sheen in preparation for the final coat. Today, it seems they have finished the painting from what I can see. It looks very good, apparently a first-rate job.
The clutter was picked up, filling a large debris box which has been hauled off and now is nearly full again.
I’m not sure why there was a hiatus prompting my original letter. Perhaps they were awaiting the building inspector to resume work. From what I can see, the subjects I took issue with have either been resolved or are works in progress.
