News Briefs: Moffat County High School registration days start Wednesday – Colorado News

Moffat County High School registration days start Wednesday

All students planning to attend Moffat County High School should register for classes before Aug. 18. The school will be holding registration days from Aug. 9 to 15.  Julie Hoff of Colorado Northwest Community College will be on hand during registration to discuss concurrent enrollment.

The high school will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. for registration days.

• Seniors Aug. 9

• Juniors Aug. 10

• Sophomores Aug. 14

If you are unable to attend on your scheduled day, you can still register until Aug. 17. After Aug. 18 schedule changes must be approved by new MCHS Principal Kyle York.

New student and freshman orientation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. followed by a parent meeting at 5 p.m. Aug. 24.

Classes start on Aug. 28.

Annual artisan market set for Dec. 1-2

Yampa Valley Artisans are now accepting applications for the 8th Annual Holiday Artisan Market to be held Dec. 1 & 2. Applications are being accepted through Oct. 9. Contact yampavalleyartisans@gmail.com for more information.

The market will be from 3-7 p.m. Dec. 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Chamber mixer celebrates Community Health Center

Northwest Colorado Health and the Craig Chamber of Commerce are hosting a mixer to celebrate the Community Health Center in Craig. The event will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 10 at Northwest Colorado Health’s Community Health Center, 745 Russell Street. The mixer will include food, drinks and door prizes. Tickets for the Rubber Ducky Race on August 26 also will be available for $10 each….
