PARADISE>>With Fall sports underway in their summer practices, Paradise High School has launched a new web program to streamline the collection of paperwork needed for the athletes to become eligible.
PHS Athletic Director Jessica Bynum said that the website works as a one stop location for athletes and parents to complete all of the paperwork necessary to participate. Health forms, school athletic agreements and medical insurance are all funneled into the website which can be accessed by Bynum and the coaches.
“When you have over 100 kids on a team, it can be a little challenging to get all their forms together, but this is really going to help support my coaches,” she said.
Every athlete is required to get a physical that lasts for one calendar year. With the new website, athletes can access the form from their computers and print them out to take to a physician. Once they are completed and turned into Bynum or the athlete’s coach, it is updated online. Team charts can show which athletes have completed their forms and is continuously updated.
Bynum said that use of the website is becoming more common for schools in the Northern Section and that she has heard many positive responses from parents and coaches. Another benefit to using the website is that athletes’ accounts will be updated throughout the year will and help organize all of information for those who compete in multiple sports.
