Lomita, Palos Verdes Peninsula crime reports – California News



PALOS VERDES ESTATES

Identity theft: Reported Aug. 3, unknown location. Prior to Aug. 3, someone accessed the victim’s personal information and opened multiple credit accounts.

Identity theft: Reported Aug. 3, unknown location. Prior to Aug. 3, someone obtained the victim’s credit card information and made several unauthorized transactions.

Residential burglary: Sometime prior to Aug. 5, 3600 block of Palos Verdes Drive North. Police said two people, possibly three, entered a residence through a door and took unspecified items.

Theft: About 11 a.m. July 27, 4000 block of Via Opata. Someone attempted to open unlocked vehicles in the area, but, when detected by residents, entered another vehicle and fled.

Vandalism: July 25, 500 block of Paseo del Mar. Police said that prior to 4:48 p.m. someone deposited poison on a city tree.

New reports were not available for this week’s log for Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and unincorporated areas of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Reports are scheduled to return Aug. 18.
