Prosecutors say Dhaliwal was working as an agriculture specialist for CBP when he approached the woman in August 2014 and made sexual advances. They say he then pushed the woman and sexually assaulted her.

CBP spokesman Jaime Ruiz says Dhaliwal is no longer employed by the federal agency and had separated from CBP in September 2016.

He says CPB places “great emphasis on the integrity and professionalism of our workforce.”
