Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary is anticipating with excitement the returning students and the new students coming to each grade as well.

The whole staff here believes in building positive and productive relationships to become the team that works together for each individual child’s needs.
The new R.I.S.E. (Reading Initiative for Student Excellence) will be an encompassing focus for the 2017-18 school year. The purpose of this is to build a culture of reading in Mountain Home by partnering the students, parents and community members.

NWH is also privileged to have expanded the number of teachers who have been trained in the Apple Connections programs of instruction for dyslexia, which will also be beneficial for any student to strengthen them in the foundations of reading.

Dana Brown will be assisting in meeting…
