NORWALK — The Norwalk Public Library has become an official Passport Application Acceptance Facility on behalf of the U.S. Department of State to enhance services to the local community.
NPL will accept passport applications from first-time U.S. Passport applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning Aug. 21 at both the main library, 1 Belden Ave., and the SoNo branch, 10 Washington St. No photo service will be offered at this time.
Passport service hours of operation are: Mondays, 2-7:30 p.m. (main library) and Mondays, noon to 4:30 p.m. (SoNo branch); Thursday and Friday, noon to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (main library) and Saturdays, noon to 4:30 p.m. (SoNo branch).
Checks or money orders made out to the U.S. Department of State will be accepted in the amount of $110 for adults and $80 for children. NPL will also accept a $25 fee by check or money order made out to Norwalk Public Library.
