MH Kindergarten ready for the little ones – Arkansas News

The faculty and staff at Mountain Home Kindergarten provide opportunities for all children to participate in age-appropriate activities in order to benefit the whole child in a safe, nurturing environment. We provide children with a teacher that is considered highly qualified by Arkansas State Department of Education standards.

We’re here to help each child succeed and have a positive experience in Kindergarten. We’re excited to participate in RISE (Reading Initiative for Student Excellence) which is an Arkansas Campaign initiative to encourage a culture of reading.

In addition to academics, we will strive to meet your child’s social, emotional, and behavioral needs as well.

Tuesday is the first day of school. Kindergarten students will attend a full day of school on that day. If you’re driving your child to school, you may arrive at school no earlier than 7:30 a.m.

Because of the size of our student enrollment and the limited parking, you will not be able to escort your child to their room on the first day. However, we will have several smiling faces to greet your child as they are dropped off and get them to where they need to be.

Breakfast is served until 8:10 a.m. School dismisses at 3 p.m. It will take a few days and possibly up to a couple of weeks for traffic at car loading to move smoothly and in a timely manner.

Please be patient and prepared to wait in the car line. As a friendly reminder, state law prohibits cell phone usage while in the car loading line. Safety of students is our top priority.
