Vigils today respond to Charlottesville violence | News – California News

Residents and local groups are holding vigils on Sunday after the violence by extremist right-wing groups in Charlottesville, Virginia. Vigils taking place so far include:

Candlelight Vigil to Stand in Solidarity with Charlottesville

Corner of El Camino & Castro (starting location), Gateway Park corner next to bike shop

When: Sunday, Aug. 13, 7:30 p.m.

Together We Will Palo Alto Mountain View will host a candlelight vigil in solidarity with Charlottesville. This peaceful vigil will be held from 7:30-8 p.m. starting at the corner of El Camino and Castro (at the small park known as Gateway Park), and at 8 p.m. march to Civic Center Plaza, between the City Hall and the Performing Arts Center.
