Police Report for Sept. 14 – News – Gadsden Times – Alabama News

ASSAULT

Police were called to a local hospital between 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday where a 24-year-old man sought treatment after being cut during a fight. He told police he was sitting on his front porch when a man he didn’t know came up to him and wanted to fight. They fought and the victim suffered a 2-inch gash in his upper bicep and a small gash on the right side of his lower back.

 

THEFTS

Someone stole the spare key and a 2017 Toyota Corolla Tuesday afternoon from the 1500 block of McKinley Avenue.

 

FORGERY

Two men tried to use a fake $100 bill, marked For Motion Picture Use Only, early Tuesday morning at a restaurant in the 200 block of North 12th Street. When the bill was identified as fake, the two men ran from the restaurant.

 

SHOTS FIRED

A man called police to report a vehicle burglary and an officer noticed a bullet hole in the driver’s side of the vehicle. The damage occurred between 3 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Sunday.
