COSTA MESA — Police are searching for a possibly armed suspect believed to be involved in a commercial robbery Thursday night, authorities said.
Several officers and a helicopter are near the 500 block of West Wilson Street, searching for the suspect, Costa Mesa Police Department Sgt. Patrick Wessel said.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, officers got a call about a possible commercial robbery in the 2200 block of Harbor Boulevard, Wessel said.
When officers arrived, they spotted a vehicle fitting the description of the car the three suspects were believed to have been driving, Wessel said.

Officers tried to pull the vehicle over and the suspects refused to stop and led police on a short chase north on Harbor Boulevard, Wessel said.
The pursuit ended in a crash near Harbor Boulevard and Wilson Street. It is unknown if there were any injuries from the crash.
All three of the people fled from the car and police were able to apprehend two suspects, Wessel said. Their ages and genders were not provided by police.
The man being sought was described as black, about 5-feet-8 inches tall, with a slim build and corn rows.
Officers are asking residents to stay indoors because the suspect may be armed.
