Hannett Thorn Productions presents the musical version of “Tarzan” at the High Desert Center for the Arts. The local theater troupe will bring one of Disney’s most beloved characters to life on stage this weekend and next. 2. The Art of Rodolfo Escalera
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Dreamers Visionaries and Leaders will display the artwork of Rodolfo Escalera at the Victor Valley Museum. Escalera was a Mexican-American artist who is known for creating collectible plates for the 1984 Summer Olympics, which are now called “The Official Gift of the 1984 Olympics.” Escalera’s artwork will be displayed through Oct. 15. The first 200 guests on Saturday will receive free admission. When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Where: Victor Valley Museum, 11873 Apple Valley Road, Apple Valley. 3. Hesperia Days
The annual Hesperia Days celebration provides two days of fun and entertainment. Events
include the annual parade on Saturday, as well as a 5K race, vendor booths, games and more. Admission is free, though there are nominal fees charged for some activities. Events are held at various locations in Hesperia, including Hesperia Lake Park. The parade will be held Saturday morning on Main Street between I and E avenues….
