DANBURY — The Hat City would be a perfect candidate for Amazon’s new $5 billion headquarters — and even Alexa, the online retailing giant’s voice-activated assistant, knows it.
That’s part of the pitch Mayor Mark Boughton makes in a 90-second video in which he touts Danbury as the right location for Amazon’s second headquarters, which is expected to have up to 50,000 employees.
“You know we are different than everyone else,” Boughton says in the clip, posted to social media on Thursday. “We not only talk the talk, we walk the walk.”
The camera follows the mayor to a stack of Amazon boxes in his office as he poses a question to the voice service.
