Dalraida offers quiet, neighborly atmosphere – Alabama News

The Dalraida neighborhood has provided a quiet and neighborly atmosphere for Capital City families for decades.

Dalraida is located between Dalraida Road and Coliseum Boulevard, and stretches from Atlanta Highway north to the Gunter Annex.

Dalraida is known for its towering trees, long winding streets, large yards and a variety of home designs and styles.

“The neighborhood is a diverse and friendly neighborhood. It has enough people who stay home during business days and hours to help keep a watch on things,” Realtor Lily Moore said. “The booming downtown area has brought new businesses into the vicinity making it more appealing for young families, while keeping the neighborhood quiet. Hardly a day goes by that you don’t see several couples walking around the neighborhood.”

She added that businesses like Sol’s Mexican Restaurant, Publix, and the UPS store are new, while the Eastbrook shopping center maintains a charm from yesteryear.

Homes range in size from two bedrooms to five bedrooms, and from one to three bathrooms. The neighborhood includes one and two-story homes, as well as designs with basements.

A Dalraida address puts homeowners one turn from excellent shopping in Eastbrook, as well as along Atlanta Highway inside the busy Bypass.
