Lady Bomber tennis team ties Jonesboro – Arkansas News

The Mountain Home Lady Bomber tennis team came away with a 3-3 tie against Jonesboro in a 6A-East Conference showdown Thursday evening at Jonesboro.

Defending Class 6A State singles champion Emily Heide won both of her matches, 8-5 and 8-2, while Lady Bomber teammate Chloe Nosari fell 1-8 in her singles match.

In doubles action, Mountain Home’s Meagan Beck and Sydney Czanstkowski lost a close match to the defending state doubles champs, Jonesboro’s Clara Parker and Cameron Hafner, 7-9.

Beck and Czanstkowski won their second match, 9-8 (7-1), to help forge the team tie. The duo of Sarah Godfrey and Mandelyn Smeltzer lost 2-8.

The Lady Bombers are now 6-1-2 on the season and 3-1-1 in conference action.

The Bombers were swept 8-0 by the Hurricane, and fell to 4-3-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in conference play.

Mountain Home’s Billy Beck fell 3-8 and 5-8 in his two matches, while Jack Arp fell 4-8 and 1-8.

The doubles team of Sam Arp and CJ Blackmon fell 5-8 and 2-8, while the team of Dylan Kimbriel and Grahm Davidson lost 2-8 and 0-8.

Mountain Home’s varsity teams return to action Wednesday when they face both Siloam Springs and Springdale Har-Ber in a tri-match in nonconference play at Har-Ber.
