Latino Youth Empowerment Conference will be held Sept. 23

The First Annual Latino Youth Empowerment Conference will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23.

The event, which has a theme of “Pathways to Success,” will run from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chaffey College’s Wargin Hall, 5885 Haven Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Antonio Valenzuela, an assistant professor in the Physical Therapy Department at Loma Linda University.

There will also be several other speakers who will provide firsthand knowledge and information about developing pathways to reach educational goals, pursuing careers in various fields of law enforcement, and pursuing specific vocations of interest.
