Three students at local schools have been named semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Amandeep Heyer of Kaiser High School, Jaison T. Quijano (who is home schooled in Fontana), and Daryl Y. Bui of Etiwanda High School were among approximately 16,000 semifinals in the country announced by officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered next spring.
