UAPB human sciences alumni set homecoming breakfast – News – Pine Bluff Commercial – Arkansas News

The AM&N/University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Human Sciences Alumni Association has scheduled its homecoming breakfast. UAPB Homecoming 2017 is Oct. 9-14.

The annual breakfast will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at the Adair-Greenhouse Building Hospitality Room at UAPB. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. to allow time to attend the Homecoming Alumni Assembly at 10 a.m. at the the HPER building.

“This year, there is no charge to attend the breakfast,” said Janette Wheat, acting president of the association. “Instead, attendees are encouraged to donate to the Human Sciences Alumni Organization.”

All donations will be used to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the program and to the department’s annual graduation luncheon, said Wheat, who is also a UAPB associate professor and Cooperative Extension Program specialist in human development and family studies.

The deadline for reservations for the Human Sciences Alumni Breakfast is Oct. 3. For reservations, send a check or money order to Janette Wheat, Department of Human Sciences, UAPB, 1200 N. University, Mail Slot 4971, Pine Bluff, AR 71601 or to Tamera Ford at the same address.
