4 Flagstaff teens arrested, accused of killing man at motel – Arizona News

The Flagstaff Police Department has arrested four teenagers in connection with the killing of a 23-year-old Flagstaff man at a motel, officials said.

On Sept. 7, police responded to a report of a dead body found inside a room at the L Motel on Milton Road and Tucson Avenue in Flagstaff, officials said.

The man later was identified as Jaron R. James. His death was ruled a homicide.

After an investigation, Flagstaff police said the four Flagstaff teenagers have been linked to the death and are facing a second-degree murder charge.

Two of the suspects are adults; they were identified as Lawerence Sampson-Kahn,18, and Kayson Russell, 19, Flagstaff police said.

In addition, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl also were arrested. The Arizona Republic is not naming them because they are juveniles and it was unclear late Friday whether they are being charged as juveniles or adults.
