An unidentified 25-year-old man was found with fatal injuries near railroad tracks in Phoenix Thursday night, and police are investigating it as a homicide.

Police found the man on a call for “unknown trouble” around midnight near 3300 W. Harrison St., said Sgt. Vince Lewis, a Phoenix police spokesman.

The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced the man dead on scene.

Lewis said due to suspicious circumstances, police are identifying this as an ongoing homicide investigation. The cause of death will be determined by a medical examiner.
