A franchise craft beer restaurant will open in the Gilbert Heritage District in early 2018.

The Brass Tap should boast craft beers, grub, live music and “man-sized” games such as Jenga and Connect Four on the ground floor of Building 313.

The newly constructed, three-story brick building is at 313 N. Gilbert Road, between Vaughn and Page avenues.

The Brass Tap, a franchise based in Tampa, Florida, opened its first Arizona location at Mesa Riverview in 2014.

The same family will bring the craft beer-centric eatery to Gilbert, joining a women’s co-working space and a company headquarters that expect to open on the building’s upper levels in November and December, respectively.

Jessie Rowe III, one of the Brass Tap’s owners, said they’ve been watching downtown Gilbert grow into a “popular and trendy location” the last four years or so.
