City approves ordinance which establishes new speed reduction zones on certain streets

The Fontana City Council approved on Sept. 12 an ordinance that establishes new speed reduction zones on certain streets in the city.

The vote was unanimous for the ordinance, which is designed to reduce traffic problems.

The new changes will impact Tamarind Avenue from Ceres Avenue to San Bernardino Avenue, where the speed limit was reduced from 40 mph to 35 mph.

Valley Boulevard from Banana Avenue to Hemlock Avenue will change from 45 mph to 35 mph, and from Hemlock Avenue to Citrus Avenue, it reduces…
