Steamboat briefs: LiftUp produce drive to be held at Safeway – Colorado News

A produce drive for the LiftUp food band will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 at Safeway in Steamboat Springs. People are encouraged to buy extra food and drop it off at the drive.

Renowned dancer to offer master classes

Elevation Dance Studio will welcome professional dancer Ferly Prado, who will be teaching master classes at the Steamboat Springs studio Saturday.
Prado is a trained performer who just finished touring with Beyonce and has worked as a back-up dancer for Tina Turner, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Mariah Carrey and Dick Clark.
Prado is scheduled to teach several classes including a hip hop class at 1 p.m. for dancers age 8 to 14 and an intermediate jazz funk workshop at
2 p.m. The final class, a jazz funk class for adults, will begin at 4 p.m.

Applications accepted for community fund

Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty collaborated with the Yampa Valley Community Foundation to create the Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty Community Fund, and is now accepting applications for the fall 2017 grant funding cycle.
The Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty Community Fund was established to support Yampa Valley and Steamboat Springs nonprofit organizations through a collective funding and semi-annual granting process. Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty agents, owners and staff collectively participate in the fund, with the goal of making a significant, meaningful, lasting community impact.
