North Lake Tahoe is filled with artistic individuals crafting gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces brought to life from their own inspirations; and Truckee’s rich history and mountain landscape makes it an inspiring place.
“The vision of Art & Soul came from wanting to celebrate our local Truckee-Tahoe-Reno artists and local downtown businesses,” said Cassie Hebel, executive director of the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association.
This year marks the third annual Art & Soul event, and brings more than 40 artists to various locations throughout historic downtown Truckee for a day filled with art, entertainment and good people.
The artisan community represented at the event includes photographers, oil painters, jewelry designers, musicians, and culinary artists.
“We have such a strong cultural identity in Truckee, there’s such a profound amount of talented people that TDMA wanted to celebrate them and this art walk is a perfect way of doing that,” Hebel said.
“It’s not just a showcasing of art, either. You’ll purchase your ticket, go inside the stores, meet the business owners, meet the artists, watch their demonstrations as they showcase what they do best,” she added.
